Many people ask me if taking nutritional supplements is necessary, especially for those that eat a “healthy diet.” Everybody wants to know exactly what they should be taking. I will start by telling you that unless you’re living in a perfect world (obviously not this one), yes- we all need nutritional supplements.
The truth is that our food is not what it used to be. The air we breathe is polluted with harmful toxins and the water we drink is full of chemicals. And to make matters worse, our soil is depleted of the nutrients and minerals it once had.
I get a kick out of the folks that say: “Well, my Grandpa fried everything he put in his mouth, and drank until the day he died at 97-years-old.” That’s really wonderful, but that was then. He was living during a time when the food he ate was nourishing his body. It wasn’t loaded with chemicals and genetically modified crap that not only doesn’t nourish us, but actually kills us. Our foods are so processed that what may have been somewhat nourishing to our bodies just became the opposite- health destroying.
We need additional help. Taking the right supplements can change your life. And remember, there is no one size fits all when it comes to what you should be taking.
